Unusual Negroni – $16

Unusual-Negroni-CocktailIf you’re looking for a Negroni with a twist, this cocktail from The Chandelier (Las Vegas) is exactly what you’re looking for. While a traditional Negroni is made with equal parts gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth; its kissing cousin, the Unusual Negroni is made with:

~ One part Gran Centenario Tequila (Tequila is undoubtedly the proper substitute for its less racy counterpart, gin. Fitting for an evening of “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”)

~ One part Aperol (Campari’s younger brother from another mother)

~ One part Cynar (The real twist in this cocktail, Cynar is an artichoke flavored liqueur that ‘brings the bitter’)

~ Dolin Blanc to taste (A sweet, white, style of vermouth that is quickly becoming a darling behind the bar)

    1. At the right place, I bet they would. Just ask the bartender if they have Aperol, Dolin Blanc, Cynar, and Gran Centenario (although any good tequila will do). I could imagine places like 21C, The Seelbach, and the Jefferson Hotel would have everything. Cheers!
